I'm A Baaaad Bloggity Blogger...

Yes, I forgot about my blog again. Baaaaaaad. This was so much easier on Myspace pre-Timberlake.
So I spend a lot of time at school and when I'm not there I'm at the gym or sitting here wine'o'clock blogging when I should be doing my homework (which technically I am concurrently) Yeeaaaaah. Concurrently. So in case anyone was just desperate to know semester two is *sigh* as one would opine. It would probably be less *sigh* if the weather improved...C'mon Toronto it's July not September mate!
I didn't plank today, which means I still need to. I recommend following this woman, for motivation and general awesomeness. That's it for today kittens, remember to: Keep Fit and Have Fun

I Should be Writing a Research Paper....

Well honestly I should be writing loads and loads of songs and singing them but nowadays a day job that actually supports me is often needed to keep my night job that sustains me. So it is with that in mind that I enter the advertising ring and hope my creativity can be put to good use.
Artists, you can surely relate to the desire to wake up in the morning {afternoon preferably} and head to a job that doesn't slowly kill your soul with the precision of a sharp shooter. Hence the turn to advertising. I know. It sounds evil, it may well be but if it's evil and fun I can make up for some of that with music, and music and more and more music....also blogs because frankly I've been falling off. {sorry about that} Maybe I'll post some nail pics again, as my obsession with Shoppers Drug Mart grows so too does my obsession with their ever evolving nail polish sales.  For now I reckon I'll finish up this paper and head to my wonderful bed. For tomorrow is Friday and that means I get to laaaaaze around all evening on Netflix and watch Taylor Kitsch run around in Friday Night Lights. :) Unless I find the strength and will to hit the gym first which I may demand as a Kitsch pre-requisite, it's a good standard to set I reckon.

Out of Touch Much?

Boy have I been away...from this blog. IMP {independent music production} kicked it into high gear and I have been swimming in the murkiness of pro-tools for a good month now. Yeesh! Well I wouldn't call it a GOOD month! Hyuk Hyuk Hyuk! Well anyway here's a little song I've been working on. It is in fact THE song I referenced in the last blog. How's that for continuity? Well I'm going to bed now as I still have mixing to do on said song early tomorrow morning and if that weren't enough {it's apparently not} I've got two grants {Well 1 and a half really} to write tomorrow so I better hop, skippety, jump to bed because it's not like these eyes will close themselves....well actually funny story about that.....I was doing an overnight shoot on a Disney film and......Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz Meow kittens! G'night.

P.S A little obsessed with "Set Fire to the Rain" nowadays even though I have no earthly clue how the hell that's even possible. I mean.... it's RAIN, how are you gonna set it on fire Adele huh? How? *sigh

Previewing the pre-amps....

Yup we banging it back today. Well not really I've always wanted to say that though and I bet I'll never get another chance. Today was test your pre-amp preference day and I have to say the Digi beat the API for me and I am definitely sold on the Condenser mic vs the Dynamic for my vocals. I used to find it annoying as it's so hot you can barely shift your feet without being picked up but now I find it adds a rich tone to my voice that is very much appreciated. Well it's off to bed for me, early class on music grants in the morning. P.S The new{ish} Bieber album Believe is really good. really. Okay when you stop laughing come on back and read that again. Still.not.joking. Peace out Kittens.

Yup. It's a songwriting weekend for me. I'm getting ready for that grant #fingerscrossed. Finished one song and wrote 2 more this weekend thus far and am feeling well happy about it! There's little like the feeling of completing what you reckon is a good song. It's like delivering a tiny little baby {somewhat less painful}. Anyway I'd been trying to finish this song I wrote while hanging with some good friends on my kitchen floor one Earth Hour and finally got to completing it yesterday. The song has special meaning to me. Here are the lyrics, I'll get around to recording it eventually I'm sure.
